Summary:In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, information about the Coronavirus is spreading very much on social media, especially on Facebook. However, the information that spread is not all true. Sometimes there is some information that falls into the pseudoscience category. The research entitled "Millennial Generation Reception Analysis related to the COVID-19 Pandemic on Facebook Social Media" has a problem formulation to analyse the millennial generation's reception of COVID-19 pseudoscience information on Facebook social media and the factors that influence it. The purpose of this study is to determine the millennial generation's perception of pseudoscience information and the factors that can influence it. There are five concepts used in this study, including reception analysis, the millennial generation, pseudoscience, COVID-19, and social media Facebook. The theoretical basis uses are the Encoding Decoding theory or commonly called the Reception Theory by Stuart Hall. This study uses a qualitative researchs with a reception analysis approach. The data sources used are in-depth interviews with six informants suitable for the category of the selected millennial generation divided into two parts, three male informants and three female informants from various levels of education. The result of this research is that most of the millennial generation when facing COVID-19 pseudoscience information have critical thinking, do not easily believe, and are active in finding out the truth of the information obtained. Following the theory, they belong to the active category and are in a negotiating position. However, some others do not have such thoughts, so they believe, practice, and spread pseudoscientific information to others. This is supported by several factors that influence the audience's reception, including knowledge, age, and motivation of the audience.
