Description
Summary:The activity of writing fan fiction is one of the characteristics of fan culture. Many of the fans who are members of the K-Pop fandom enjoy fanfiction content available on various writing platforms, including the MyDay fandom. Unlike the K-Pop fandom in general which makes Real Person Fiction (RPF) fanfiction, MyDay fandom mostly produces what is called the Alternate Universe (AU) where the story will take on a 'different dimension' from the setting in the real world. In the AU fanfiction, the MyDay fandom makes DAY6 members as characters with different situations from the lives they live in the real world. They will be shown using local names and told with life stories as local residents as well as in the fanfiction entitled "Daris and Qisti" published on Twitter. The purpose of this study is to find out how the process of creating simulacra in fanfiction by the MyDay fandom on Twitter. The research method used is critical discourse analysis. The results of this study use the simulacra concept by Jean Baudrillard, starting with the creation of a simulation in the fanfiction "Daris and Qisti" which represents and portrays Dowoon DAY6 as the character Daris. The next stage is the formation of simulacra by creating a new reality in the form of Dowoon DAY6's life story in a fanfiction that was created much different from the reality. However, this research did not reach the hyperreality stage because the pseudo reality created still refers to the actual reality reference.
