| Summary: | This study aims to determine the urgency and implementation of Reserve Components in supporting national defense. Indonesia is located in a strategic position because Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world which has 17,499 islands with an area of marine waters reaching 5.8 million km2 and a coastline of 81,000 km. If the public is not vigilant in taking any action, then this could potentially become a threat to Indonesia. National defense threats are military threats, non-military threats, and hybrid threats. Therefore, it is necessary for a country to be more serious in realizing a strong and sovereign Indonesia so that it can fight for the form of its spilled blood in the midst of the life of the nation and state. In the form of state defense, Indonesia has planned a draft law (RUU) on military service called the Reserve Component Bill (Komcad). The Reserve Component Troops were formed with the aim of enlarging and strengthening the strength and capability of the Indonesian National Armed Forces as the main component in efforts to organize national defense. In this study, the author uses the method of devotion in the form of participating directly in the training of reserve component members. The analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Reserve Component has an important role in the national defense system. |
