Summary:Workers still often experience fatigue that is caused by work until now and can cause a decrease in work performance and increase workplace accidents. All workers can experience work fatigue, including nursing staff. There are factors that can cause fatigue, including internal and external factors. This research aims to identify the relations between work shifts and workload on nurses' work fatigue at the Hospitalized Installation of Kartika Kasih Hospital. This research is an observational analytic study using cross sectional approach which uses questionnaires as research instruments. Sample in this research was chosen by total sampling and the number of sample is 42 respondents. The results of univariate analysis showed moderate fatigue in 23 respondents (54.8%), morning shift 23 respondents (54.8%), and heavy workload in 20 respondents (47.6%). Bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between work shifts and work fatigue (p value = 0.249) and there was a significant relationship between workload and work fatigue (p value = 0.020). The results of multivariate analysis showed that workload was the most dominant variable on nurses' work fatigue ( p value = 0.030; OR = 2,411; 95% CI 1,087 to 5,350).
