Summary

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the human development index, foreign investment, domestic investment, and total expenditure on the open unemployment rate. This study uses all provinces on the island of Java. Determination of the sample using a saturated sampling technique with six provinces from 2015-2020, so the total research sample is 36. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. In testing the hypothesis, this study uses Panel Data Analysis with the E-views 10 program and a significance level of 5% (0.05). The results of the study partially show that the human development index and total expenditure have an effect on the open unemployment rate, while foreign investment and domestic investment have no effect on the open unemployment rate.
