Description
Summary:Energy recovery is very important to be noticed because during the work process occurs fatigue. One of the factors that can affect energy recovery is rest. Workers with heavy workloads require different periods and break frequencies with workers with light workloads. This study aims to know the length of the rest time based on the workload on two different workplaces that is on Packaging and Werehouse station. Observation of difference worload based on pulse and oxygen consumption result for the mean of pulse rate and cardiovascular burden (%CVL) at Packaging station was 90,54 pulse/minute and 26,22% so it was classified as light workload, because (90,54 < 100 beats/minute and 26,22<30%). And from the calculation of total metabolism obtained value 434,16 kkal/hour, so it is included in the category of weight workload because (434,16 > 350 - 500kkal/hour). Whereas in Werehouse station obtained average work rate and cardiovascular burden (%CVL) 98,39 beats/min and 33,89% which fall into the category of weight work load. While the calculation of total metabolism values obtained 458,67 kkal/hour which is included in the category of weight worload. Determination break time based on workload determined by physiological approach states that the current rest time is sufficient, so it is not necessary time to add time to rest on both sections of the work. (Rt=0). The rest time is 45 minutes
