Description
Summary:DHF has become a public health problem in Indonesia and West Java province ranks 4th most cases of DHF. Complete blood tests are often to be examined in patients with dengue infection including examination of platelet counts, hematocrit values and hemoglobin levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between platelets, hematocrit values and hemoglobin levels on the clinical degree of dengue infection based on WHO criteria in pediatric patients in Ciawi Regional Hospital in 2018. This study uses a cross sectional research method. Determination of the sample in this study using a total sampling technique. The total sample obtained by 100 pediatric patients infected with dengue. The results of the analysis with the Chi Square correlation test found a correlation between platelets with the clinical degree of dengue in pediatric patients (P = 0,000). There was no correlation between hematocrit and the clinical degree of dengue in pediatric patients (P = 0.422). There is a correlation between Hemoglobin (Hb) and the clinical degree of dengue in pediatric patients (P = 0,000). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the number of platelets and hemoglobin with the clinical degree of dengue infection, so that the number of platelets and hemoglobin can be considered to help determine the clinical degree of dengue infection. There is no significant relationship between hematocrit value and hemoglobin level with clinical degree of dengue infection.
