| Summary: | One of the indicators for the success of health development can be seen from the structure of an aging population. This is related to the decrease of fertility and increase in life expectancy. The elderly age begins to experience severe mental health problem, that is anxiety, one of factors to risk hypertension. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia reaches 25.8%. The type of this research was to analyze the association between stage of hypertension with the level of anxiety in the elderly group at Tresna werdha budi mulia 3 in 2019. The type of this research is observational analytical study with cross sectional design with a sample of 40 people taken with simple random sampling technique. Result of the research were the majority of the elderly people in the age range 60-74 years (55.6%), female (63.9%) hypertension stage 1 (91.7%), without anxiety (58.5%), the length stay of Tresna werdha budi mulia 3 is >3 month (91.7%) and the most reason to live is their own will (69.4%). Statistical analysis using Kolmogorov-smirnov with p-value 0.897 >0.05, showed that there is no association between the stages of hypertension with the level of anxiety. |
