| 520 | |a Anxiety is a group of mental disorder characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear. Anxiety can occur in family members while waiting in the ICU because they are worried about the patient's condition and policies in the ICU that limit the family to accompany the patient in the treatment room. Therefore, clear information is needed for families regarding the patient's condition obtained from health workers, especially nurses using therapeutic communication. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between nurse therapeutic communication with the level of anxiety of the patient's family in the ICU room at the Bekasi District Hospital. Methods: The research method uses Cross Sectional Analytic with Accidental Sampling technique. Results: The results of univariate analysis showed that 42 respondents answered nurse's therapeutic communication was in the good category (66.7%) with the highest level of anxiety is moderate anxiety (52.4%). Bivariate analysis using Chi Square test with the results showed p value of 0.003 < 0.05 and OR of 6.4. This shows that there is a significant relationship between therapeutic communication and the anxiety of the patient's family in the ICU room at the Bekasi District Hospital. | ||
