| 520 | |a The incidence of natural disasters experienced by the Indonesian state from January 1 to March 23 in 2022 has reached 1,044 incidents. So the need for disaster preparedness for nursing students as prospective nurses in the future and is one of the parties who can be empowered to become disaster volunteers. There are several factors that affect disaster preparedness in nursing students such as age, gender, education, attitude, knowledge, skills, experience of disaster and training. This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between respondent characteristics and disaster preparedness for nursing students at UPN Veteran Jakarta. This study used a cross sectional research design and was conducted on 259 samples using the Total Sampling method. Collecting data using a questionnaire consisting of two parts, namely the characteristics of respondents and disaster preparedness. The results of statistical tests showed that five of the eight factors had a relationship with disaster preparedness (p=<0.05). The recommendation for further research is to examine the factors of disaster preparedness more deeply in nursing students using a quasi-experimental approach.
