| 520 | |a There are several factors that can influence the involvement of bystanders in providing first aid measures, one of which is psychological factor. Psychological aspects play an important role in bystander behavior in emergency situation. Pyscchological aspects can affect bystander in reacting and making decsions. This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between psychological aspects and first aid measures carried out by DKI Jakarta PMI volunteers in emergency situations. This study used a Cross Sectional research design and was carried out on 175 samples through a Stratified Random Sampling method. Data collection uses a questionnaire consisting of 2 parts, namely psychological aspects and first aid measures carried out. The result of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship in the domain 'Fear of approaching collapsed person' (p=0,000); 'Anxiety about disadvantage to oneself' (p=0,008); 'Difficulties in judging rescue actions' (p=0,003); 'Lack of confidence' (p=0,000); 'Confusion (panic) (p=0,008). The conclusion of this study was that five of the six domains showed that they had a significant relationship with first aid measures performed by voluenteers who encountered emergency situations. | ||
