Starting from the chassis, machine, to the vehicle body, where one component of the vehicle body part is a spoiler. The spoiler component can increase aerodynamics and control of the vehicle to be better by increasing the pressure (downforce) so that the vehicle has a more maximal vehicle (road traction). Based on this, the Mechanical Properties Material used in spoilers should have a weight that is not too heavy and has resistance to a good pressure. The research was conducted by the manufacturing process of spoiler components using CSM 300 fiberglass composite material as a reinforcement and Yukalac- 157 resin as a matrix, then the finished good in the form of composite material spoiler compared to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spoiler that uses plastic ABS materials. The parameters of the test are set in the form of the magnitude of the second resistance of the spoiler against the compressive strength (compressive strength) and the change in the form (displacement ratio) of the two spoilers after being given the loading. The composite material spoiler analysis results have Compressive Strength of 6.912e+07 N/m2 and a Displacement Ratio of 0.132 mm, while on ABS plastic material, the spoiler has Compressive Strength of 6.952e+07 N/m2 and a Displacement Ratio of 3.773 mm. Based on the results of the study of analysis with the Compressive Strength and Displacement Ratio parameters it can be concluded that the use of fiberglass composite materials can be used as an alternative material for manufacturing spoiler components of the vehicle. Fiberglass composite material spoilers have similar mechanical characteristics and have lower displacement ratios compared to OEM spoilers in the form of plastic abs material. But there is a major shortage of composite material spoilers, which is located in the manufacturing process that is still not efficient and has a longer production process time than ABS plastic spoilers. This study is expected to be a reference in the development of alternative materials, especially for the automotive manufacturing industry in the future.
