| Summary: | Mampang River flows through Pondok Karya Police Residence so this housing is affected by flood every year. Flood disaster can cause a variety of significant impacts, both physically and psychologically, such as anxiety due to future uncertainty that comes along with the impact of the disaster. In that condition, spiritual aspect (relationship with God) is necessary as a belief that the best way has been arranged so it gives birth to the patience, sincerity, and gratitude. This study only considers Islamic perspective of spirituality. The purpose of the study is to determine the correlation of spirituality level with the level of anxiety of dealing with flood in Pondok Karya Police Residence, South Jakarta in 2022. This is a correlational analytic study with cross-sectional approach. The questionnaire to measure spirituality is Wahyuningsih's modified SOI (Spiritual Orientation Inventory). The questionnaire for anxiety is HARS (Hamilton Rating Scale For Anxiety). The sample used was 48 residents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data obtained were analyzed by Spearman correlation test. The test resulted in rxy = -0.388 with a p-value of 0.006 (<0.05) so there is a significant relationship between spirituality level and anxiety level. Conclusion : according to the correlation coefficient, it is found that the level of spirituality has a low correlation with the level of anxiety with negative relationship, meaning the higher the spirituality level, the lower the level of anxiety. |
