| Summary: | Stunting is a problem of chronic malnutrition during the first 1,000 days of a child's life due to food intake that is not in accordance with the nutritional needs of toddlers. Toddlers with poor nutritional status have a low immune system which can make them susceptible to infectious diseases. In the end, widespread malnutrition hampers the growth of economic life, will increase poverty in the community. From 2016 to 2020, according to data from the Depok Health Office, the prevalence of stunting fluctuated, in 2020 it reached 5,718 children. The Depok City government's efforts to overcome stunting are by providing additional food for 3 months to pregnant women, the First 1000 Days of Life (1000) HPK program, and the TTD (Add Blood Tablet) program for vulnerable groups such as young women. The success of a program that has been implemented proclaimed based on various aspects, one of which is the political will of the government in overcoming the problems that are the objectives of the program. The purpose of this study was to determine the political will of the Depok City government in overcoming stunting. This study uses a qualitative design to explore actions taken by the government. The political will of the Depok City Government in Overcoming Stunting is good. However, in several aspects such as aspects of budget, human resources and also monitoring the compliance of taking blood-added tablets, it is still a very significant obstacle. |
