Summary:Menstruation is a normal thing for every woman, namely the condition of the blood discharge periodically because the ovum is not fertilized by a sperm. Women with a normal menstrual cycle is only about 10 to 15%. The age of first menstruation is called menarche. Imbalance of the hormone at the beginning of menarche is influenced irregularity of the menstrual cycle. Disruption of the menstrual cycle is an indicator which leads to disturbance in the function of the reproductive organs and increase the risk of some diseases. In addition to age of menarche, factor consumption of caffeine and high-stress resulted in the instability of the hormone so that the disorders of the menstrual cycle occurs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of age of menarche, the consumption of caffeine and stress levels with the menstrual cycle in young at the public high school 3 Southern Tambun 2022. This study used cross sectional method. The sample in this study amounted to 60 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Bivariate analysis using chi-square test. As many as 41 (68.3%) of respondents teen daughter in SMAN 3 Tambung South has a range of age of menarche is about 10 to 16 years. 49 (81,7%) of the respondents have caffeine intake < 300 mg/day (normal intake). And 36 (60%) of the respondents which have high stress levels. The results showed that the relationship between age of menarche with the menstrual cycle (p value = 0.000) and the presence of a relationship between the level of stress with the menstrual cycle ( p value = 0,010). However, the absence of a relationship between the consumption of caffeine with the menstrual cycle ( p value = 0,229).
