Description
Summary:Background : Chronic kidney failure is a chronic disease where the condition occurs due to a decrease in the ability of kidney function to maintain balance in the body. Chronic kidney failure is also one of the few non-communicable diseases. But the course of this disease is long, so it is impossible to return to its original state. The prevalence of diabetic kidney disease is increasing. Due to this trend, more and more doctors are practicing primary health care. Diabetic nephropathy is the main cause of chronic renal failure after hypertension. In this case, a thorough evaluation is needed to determine whether type 2 diabetes is an etiology or a comorbidity. Chronic kidney disease caused by diabetes is caused by many different factors. The high prevalence and mortality of chronic kidney disease in type 2 diabetics is caused by the interaction between genetic susceptibility factors and environmental exposures. Host genetic susceptibility may influence the onset of chronic kidney disease in type 2 diabetes over time. namely age, family history of diabetes, history of hypertension, excess body mass index, non-exercise habits, smoking habits. Non-adherence to dietary habits with type 2 diabetes, income level, gender, consumption of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are risk factors for chronic kidney disease while environmental factors are also possible risk factors for lifestyle changes that involve family support as a form of prevention and treatment. control. Research Methods: The research uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods, and conducts interviews, observations, and documentation on clients directly with a sample of 1 respondent. Research results: The results of the study showed that excess fluid volume was associated with impaired regulatory mechanisms, ineffective breathing patterns related to respiratory muscle fatigue, and activity intolerance related to imbalance between oxygen supply and demand had not been fully resolved and lack of knowledge about the disease had not been met. Conclusion: So It is hoped that nurses as medical personnel can explain better about health education regarding chronic kidney failure and diabetes mellitus in order to increase knowledge about the risk of chronic kidney failure accompanied by diabetes mellitus.
