| Summary: | Background: Investment from a country, namely in school-age children. The quality of children today will determine the quality of the country in the future. To determine the quality that is influenced by the acquisition of children's memory in the teaching and learning process. At the elementary school stage, namely the concrete operations stage, memory skills are very important and needed by individuals. To be able to improve children's memory skills, we can do a series of Brain Gym. Brain Gym movements are designed to stimulate the right and left brain (lateral dimension), relieve or relax the posterior part of the brain and the anterior part of the brain (focus dimension), and stimulate systems related to sensation/emotion, especially the midbrain (limbic) and cerebrum (afferent). In this study using a mind mapping measuring tool. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect Brain Gym on memory of children aged 7-8 years at SD Muhammadiyah 04 Depok. Research methods using a pre-experimental design in the form of One - Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The samples used in this study were students of grade 2 SD Muhammadiyah 04 Depok aged 7-8 years, totaling 60 samples. The results of data analysis using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. The results of the Paired Sample T-test show that there is no influence of Brain Gym on the memory of children aged 7-8 years with a score of 0.359 which means (0.359 > 0.05) so the results are declared insignificant. |
