Chemotherapy is a treatment with the aim of killing cancer cells which is carried out by giving drugs and can cause side effects of nausea and vomiting. Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is one of the most common side effects of chemotherapy treatment experienced by cancer patients. One of the complementary therapies that can be done to treat CINV is giving Peppermint Aromatherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Peppermint Aromatherapy on breast cancer patients after undergoing chemotherapy. The number of respondents involved in this study amounted to two people with one person was given the intervention while the other one was not. Measurement of data using the Rhodes Index Nausea Vomiting and Retching questionnaire (Rhodes INVR). The results showed that there was a significant difference in the use of Peppermint Aromatherapy to treat nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients with intervention and not. Peppermint aromatherapy can reduce nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients, so the authors recommend that it be applied as a complementary therapy | ||
