Summary

Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is a complication of pneumonia related to ventilator use that increases the incidence of mordibity, mortality and increases the burden on hospitals. This scientific work aims to analyze the effectiveness of early mobilization interventions to lower the risk of VAP in patients in ICU Bhayangkara Tingkat I Raden Said Sukanto Hospital. After early mobilization intervention in the form of head of bed and passive ROM for three times a day twice a day in 15 minutes, it showed that CPIS scores tended to be constant with the interpretation of no signs of VAP. This success cannot be separated from pharmacological therapy in vap prevention. Based on the analysis of early mobilization interventions, it can be concluded that this intervention provides effective preventive efforts in patients on mechanical ventilators.
