This is because, during menstruation, the vaginal area of women becomes more humid so that it is more susceptible to the proliferation of various bacteria and fungi, irritation, and bacterial contamination, which can lead to various types of health problems including reproductive tract infections (RTI), urinary tract infections (UTI), and other health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with menstrual hygiene behavior in adolescent girls in Ma'had Rahmaniyah Al-Islamy Kabupaten Bogor in 2022. This study was conducted using quantitative research methods and cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 152 adolescent girls. The data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with chi-square. Bivariate results in this study indicate that there is a relationship between menstrual hygiene behavior with sources of information (p-value=0.014) and social support (p-value=0.047). However, there is no relation between menstrual hygiene behavior and knowledge (p-value = 0.309). The school needs to establish adolescent health service program. Meanwhile, the family is expected to always provide support to adolescent girls so that good menstrual hygiene behavior can be created. | ||
