| Summary: | Construction work is a sector that is identical with a high risk of work accidents. Activities involved in construction projects can be a source of various hazards. In March 2022, 4 out of 10 workers committed unsafe acts and one of them had an accident from a height. Age, years of service, knowledge, education, physiological complaints, and complaints of daily habits have been known to be risk factors and causes of a tendency towards unsafe actions. This study aims to analyze the relationship between psychosocial factors and unsafe acts on construction project height workers in Tangerang. This research uses quantitative analytics with a cross-sectional design study. Data was analyzed using chi-square with a sample of 102 workers selected by simple random sampling method. This study showed that 42 of 102 workers (41,2%) performed unsafe actions. Results from this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between knowledge (p-value < 0.05), physiological disorders (p-value < 0.05), and disorders of daily habits (p-value < 0.05). Socializing and educating workers about dangerous acts and applying safety measures to make workers safer at work. |
