Summary:Background : Physical activity is defined as body movements produced by human skeletal muscles that require energy expenditure. Today's teenagers do less physical activity or exercise because today's teenagers prefer to use devices rather than playing with their peers. Lack of physical activity carried out by adolescents, can increase their high body mass index. The less physical activity a person eats, the greater the increase in body mass index. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between physical activity and body mass index (BMI) in students at SMK Kesehatan Bhakti Insani Depok. Design: This study was cross sectional with a correlative approach. The sample in this study were students at SMK Kesehatan Bhakti Insani Depok with a total sample of 93 people. Parameters used to measure physical activity using the IPAQ Short Form (International Physical Activity Questionnaire). Results: This study uses SPSS 23 and the correlation coefficient between Physical Activity and BMI is 0.192 with a significance of 0.065. Thus there is no relationship between physical activity and BMI.
