Description
Summary:After the Covid-19 subsided, the DKI Jakarta government has issued a regulation in the Decree (SK) of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office Number 883 of 2021 regarding changes to the learning process policy carried out through limited face-to-face level 1 during the PPKM period in accordance with the health protocol. With the government's policy regarding face-to-face learning requires children to be able to adapt again to the existing situation. Based on the nature, characteristics, behavior of children aged 5-12 years, during a pandemic in the digital era seen by the increasing use of internet media, then how can parents help children to be able to change habits and behaviors that have been formed during the pandemic through communication patterns to prepare children to deal with the situation. This study aims to describe the pattern of family communication to children aged 5-12 years and to find out the experience of parents in guiding children during face-to-face learning adaptation. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods by conducting in-depth interviews with eight informants. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the communication pattern used by the informants when carrying out offline learning is a democratic and permissive communication pattern. This communication pattern is quite effective in the adaptation process of children during face-to-face learning as evidenced by the effects and positive changes on themselves and children's behavior.
