Realizing this, under the leadership of the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya, Indonesia through the Ministry of Tourism in 2015 - 2019 carried out Digital Diplomacy efforts to improve the nation branding of Indonesian halal tourism which was packaged in the concept of Muslim Friendly Tourism. Using Anholt's theory of nation branding and the Hexagon of Competitive Identity framework, this thesis research attempts to analyze the Ministry of Tourism's Digital Diplomacy efforts in improving the nation branding of Indonesian Muslim Friendly Tourism commodities during the period 2015 - 2019. Based on the research, several efforts have been made. by the Ministry of Tourism which can be grouped into two (2) main efforts, namely; (1) The utilization of the Ministry of Tourism's Social Media Channels, and (2) The use of the Indonesian Halal Tourism Logo. Through these efforts, Indonesia's ranking in the GMTI ranking has increased over the years so that in 2019 Indonesia managed to rank first as the country with the world's best halal tourism. | ||
