Supervision in the relationship between the center and the regions, especially regarding autonomy, cannot be separated. With ideal supervision, the implementation of autonomy will run well, the central government can ensure that policies, especially regional regulations that occur in the regions will not oppose or interfere with the course of policies set by the central government and on the other hand, local governments also get freedom or independence to manage their territory. The supervisory function that has been running so far is also dynamic so there are changes, especially after the judicial review at the Constitutional Court regarding the supervisory function carried out by the central government through the Ministry of Home Affairs which of course also has an impact on supervision that can be re-applied to regions, especially in terms of regional regulations. For this reason, the method applied in the research on this supervisory function is normative juridical. This research then results that there has been a change in the cancellation of regional regulations due to the issuance of the Constitutional Court's Decision and the potential for overlap between authorized institutions that carry out supervision of regions, especially regional regulations, and also what actions should be taken to overcome these problems. The government is expected to make clearer follow-up arrangements regarding the limits of authority between these institutions in carrying out preventive supervision without contradicting the decisions made by the Constitutional Court.
