| 520 | |a The Human Development Index (HDI) is a measuring tool used to look at the progress of human development in its area, as measured by education level, health and standard of living. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Poverty, Per Capita Expenditure and Government Expenditure of the Education Sector on the Human Development Index in West Papua Province. This study used data from 13 regencies / cities located in West Papua with a period of 2015 to 2019. The selected method is the Random Effect Model (REM). The data is processed by using software eviews 9. The results of this study showed that partially the variables of poverty and per capita expenditure variables had an effect on the human development index while the government expenditure variables of the education sector had no effect on the human development index in West Papua Province. Simultaneously the variables of poverty, per capita spending and government expenditure of the education sector have a significant effect on the human development index in West Papua Province. | ||
