Summary

There is a Distillation Machine that is not maintained at the UPN Veteran Jakarta laboratory. Some physical damage was found, such as corrosion on the Distillation Machine. This results in a decrease in quality and productivity, besides that there is no guideline for the use of the Distillation Machine which results in the practitioner not knowing the procedure for using it properly. Therefore, researchers need to examine the characteristics of the Distillation Machine, and carry out partial and full system research. The collected data is divided into 9 variables, including date, time, duration of work, amount of material, amount of fire, amount of input water, temperature, weight of gas and regulator, and distillation pressure. The data was tested using a Decision Tree and using the Train Split Test method to find out whether the data indicated overfitting or underfitting. In addition, predictions are made regarding the data needed to achieve a value on the dependent variable. It was concluded that from the existing data there was no indication of overfitting or underfitting.
