| 520 | |a This research is a quantitative study that aims to determine the effect of leverage, liquidity, and management ownership on financial distress by using a moderating variable, namely environmental uncertainty, as well as with the presence of control variables, namely profitability and firm size. This research uses retail and consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019 to 2021 as samples. The sample selection was done randomly, the samples received were 61 companies with a total of 183 observations. The research hypothesis testing used Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with STATA 14 application and a significance level of 0.05. The results of the test obtained (1) leverage has a significant effect on financial distress. The higher the leverage value, the higher the company will experience financial distress, (2) liquidity does not have a significant effect on financial distress, (3) managerial ownership has a significant positive effect on financial distress. The higher the managerial ownership value, the lower the possibility of the company experiencing financial distress, (4) environmental uncertainty cannot moderate the effect of leverage on financial distress, (5) environmental uncertainty cannot moderate the effect of liquidity on financial distress, (6) environmental uncertainty cannot moderate the effect of environmental uncertainty on financial distress. | ||
