Unfortunately, the Law on Persons with Disabilities (Law No. 8 of 2016), which was issued by Indonesia, has not been carried out to its fullest extent. Disabled, sometimes known as persons with various abilities or differently abled, is a term adopted from English language to describe people who are capable of performing tasks in a manner different from that of other humans. Disability-related individuals have a legal right to assistance from financial service providers. In reality, banks and other financial organizations are still closed to people with disabilities. People with disabilities encounter numerous challenges and impediments, particularly when trying to obtain financial products or services, despite the fact that the bulk of this group are older individuals who depend on the state's intervention to enforce their rights and are vulnerable to poverty. In order to ensure that facilities and services in both the financial and non-financial services sectors in accordance with assertive and more specific laws, the state must start taking an active part in this process.
