| Summary: | This study aims to analyze the management of royalties before and after PP Number 56 of 2021 was implemented. The author wants to know the urgency of this regulation because it was issued during a pandemic when the Indonesian economy was recovering. MSME entrepreneurs use music as one of their instruments in attracting customers in this pandemic era. This research has two problem formulations, namely regarding the management of royalties before and after the implementation of Government Regulation Number 56 of 2021 and the legal consequences of this regulation concerning disputes between parties and MSMEs that apply this regulation. The type of research that the writer uses is normative research which originates from secondary data which originates from the study of literature with the Invitation Law Approach and case studies. The royalty that the author compares between Law Number 28 of 2014 and PP Number 56 of 2021. Overall it discusses better management of PP Number 56 of 2021 and dispute resolution that still follows the Copyright Law because the rules in this are only specific discussed the management of royalties but there were still several disputes where the royalties collected by LMK had not been distributed to the musicians until now. |
