The phenomenon of photo stories as messengers from photographers is still a matter of public concern. This is in line with the ability of a photo to represent something. Photo stories which are photojournalism are displayed with various concepts interpreted by the photographer. Each photographer can convey their thoughts through images to be interpreted by the public. This research was made to find a picture in a struggle for nationalism and the value of struggle of athletes with disabilities and to understand the content of the message that the photographer wants to convey in the work of the photo story "determination towards the Tokyo Paralympics" by Mohammad Ayudha which was broadcast in antarafoto.com. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method by using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis approach to find the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth. The results of this study indicate that Mohammad Ayudha as a photographer through a series of photo stories succeeded in visualizing the persistence and spirit of the Indonesian contingent of athletes with disabilities in the city of Solo, Central Java. As a representation of the struggle value of national disabled athletes. Where a series of photo stories actually provide inspiration to the wider community, not pity for the physical deficiencies experienced by athletes. The photographer through the photo story created intends to give a message to the public that physical limitations are not an obstacle in making achievements and making Indonesia proud in the international arena.
