This study aims to determine the relationship between foot shape and VO2 max value in pencak silat athletes at the provincial level of Jakarta, Indonesia. The study used a cross-sectional design with a total sample size of 46 athletes. The research subjects were athletes aged 17-24 years, with no health issues, particularly in lower extremities. Methods used were footprint tests and multistage fitness tests. The study found that 27 (58.7%) athletes had normal feet and 19 (41.3%) athletes had flat feet. There were no significant differences in age, sex, body mass index, and length of exercise experience between the two groups of foot shape (p > 0.05). VO2 max value of 45,1 ± 7,2 ml/kg/min and 40,1 ± 7,5 ml/kg/min were found in athletes with normal feet and flat feet, respectively. Independent T-test results a significant difference in VO2 max value between the two groups of sole shape (p = 0.028). In conclusion, flat feet is correlated to VO2 max value in pencak silat athletes.
