Summary: | Chronic kidney disease is a condition caused by the failure of kidney function or structure. Chronic renal failure can cause disruption of the body's fluid and electrolyte balance and can cause complications due to hematological abnormalities. This study aims to determine the relationship between sodium and hemoglobin with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in patients with chronic renal failure. This study is a cross sectional study with the design used is descriptive correlation. Consecutive sampling was used for sampling technique, with the opulation taken was chronic renal failure patients undergoing emodialysis at Rumah Sehat Dompet Dhuafa Hospital. Data were collected using a retrospective approach using research instruments in the form of observation sheets which included age, gender, education, occupation, sodium levels, creatinine levels, body weight and hemoglobin levels. Spearman correlation test was conducted in this study and the result was 0.477 (>0.05) for the relationship between sodium and GFR, which means there is no significant relationship between sodium and GFR. However, the result was 0.040 (<0.05) for the relationship between hemoglobin and GFR, which means there is a relationship between hemoglobin and GFR. |
