520 |a Peritonitis is the most serious complication of CAPD and contributes to an increased risk of mortality and morbidity which accounts for 41.3% mortality and 20% technical failure in patients. Where the highest province of HD use is in DKI Jakarta Province with 369 patients. Based on preliminary studies, it was found that 18 out of 67 patients were affected by peritonitis (26%), which means that 1 in 4 patients installed with CAPD had peritonitis. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the incidence of peritonitis in patients with chronic kidney disease who use continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. This study was retrospective as a research design. The total sampling method was used to determine the sample and a total of 18 peritonitis patients were involved. Observation sheets were used as a medium to collect secondary data from medical records. The results of the fisher exact analysis did not find any factors that had a significant relationship (p>0.05). The odds ratio results showed that middle-age group, male gender, having a history of diabetes mellitus, low serum potassium levels, normal serum albumin levels, and overweight BMI category, are risk factors for the incidence of peritonitis in chronic kidney disease patients who are installed with CAPD.
