Globalization has opened up a door for every country to promote itself, and one of the ways is through cultural diplomacy. In its development, cultural diplomacy efforts can even be carried out by non-state actors to capture the attention of foreign audiences. South Korea, a country known for its expertise in performing its cultural diplomacy, often uses Korean Pop, in which they appoint an artist or celebrity as a diplomatic actor in many events. But, in its practice, there are lots of challenges that need to be overcome, especially if the market target is the Middle East, which is often known as a conservative area due to the fact that the majority of the population is Muslim. In this study, the researcher aims to know the role of Stray Kids, one of South Korea's global boy groups, in supporting South Korea's cultural diplomacy at the Dubai Expo 2020. The researcher used cultural diplomacy theory and the concept of three basic principles of cultural diplomacy to analyze Stray Kids' role in supporting South Korea's cultural diplomacy at Dubai Expo 2020. Therefore, it can be known whether the effort has fulfilled the three basic principles and helped South Korea to achieve its national interests. In this study, the researcher used qualitative research methods with a study case approach to break down and give a broader view regarding South Korea's cultural diplomacy in the Middle East through Stray Kids. The result of this study shows that Stray Kids' role in supporting the diplomatic efforts has fulfilled the three basic principles of cultural diplomacy. In this case, the establishment and enhancement of a positive image as one of South Korea's national interests have been successfully done and could eventually open up a door to achieving other national interests.
