Summary

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. It is these changes that make the teenager's lack of self-confidence appear. The purpose of this research is to increase self-confidence in adolescents through solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) interventions. SFBT therapy was given to two teenagers in RW 08 who had low self-esteem. SFBT therapy was carried out in six meetings with a duration of 45-60 minutes each meeting. The results of the implementation of SFBT therapy showed that after SFBT therapy the self-confidence scores of the two adolescents increased. The first adolescent experienced an increase in selfconfidence score from a score of 99 (low self-confidence) to 115 (high selfconfidence) and the second adolescent from a score of 106 (medium selfconfidence) to 117 (high self-confidence). The two teenagers have increased selfconfidence. Community nurses are expected to be able to use the method of solution focused brief therapy in increasing self-confidence in adolescents.
