Many users still don't include songs wisely on the audio in their videos. Not all of the videos uploaded to the TikTok application are edited in full via the TikTok application, but have been edited first in another application. So that not a few of the audio on videos of TikTok users are subject to copyright. Through this research, the researcher aims to analyze regulations related to copyright protection that exist and apply in Indonesia. In this study, researchers used a normative juridical method using a Statute Approach and a Comparative Approach. The data analysis technique used is qualitative. The results of this study prove that there is still a lot of copyright infringement on TikTok and the important role of United States internet regulation. The novelty obtained through this study is the copyright protection that exists on TikTok and a comparison of copyright law between Indonesia and the United States, especially on the doctrine of fair use, fair use.
