520 | |a Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) has benefits for all parts of the plant. The use of moringa leaves is being developed into beverage products, one of which is kombucha tea which contains higher nutritional value than regular tea. This study aimed to determine the results of phytochemical screening and the LC50 value of kombucha in Moringa leaves against Artemia salina Leach using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. Toxicity testing used four variations of moringa leaf kombucha concentrations, 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 80 ppm, and 160 ppm. The results of the phytochemical screening showed that moringa leaf kombucha contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids, and terpenoids. The BSLT test showed that the LC50 value of moringa leaf kombucha was 238,549 ppm (moderate toxicity). Keywords: BSLT, Moringa Leaves, Kombucha, Acute Toxicity | ||
