520 |a The rapid development of technology today provides a positive indication as well as competitive competition for each company, especially in the orientation tomaintain product quality. PT Potech Indo Mandiri is one of the companies that continue to strive to maintain the quality of its products. However, in 2022, defective products were still found during the production process and the company had not set a standard or tolerance value for the percentage of defects in each product. There are also high-intensity customer claims for defective products such as by repairing or rejecting products. For this reason, it is necessary to improve and control the production process. This research aims to identify Critical to Quality in the production process and then prioritize the factors that cause defects in production with targets that are close to zero defects using the Six Sigma method, namely the DMAIC approach. The results of this study show that there are 3 products, namely rollers, pulleys, and belt cleaners that have a defect percentage value exceeding the value of 1% (Six Sigma tolerance theory). The proposed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the cutting and machining process on roller products, SOP for the welding process on pulley products, and check sheets for belt cleaner production are based on the results of the calculation of the urgency of proposals that exceed the critical value in the FMEA analysis. Each SOP is also equipped with a check sheet that can be used as a form of control or monitor the application of the SOP to production results.
