The role of actors in carrying out diplomatic functions is no longer limited to only state actors, but nonstate actors such as youth and diaspora can contribute. One way is through a public diplomacy approach carried out by the Indonesian Student Union - United Kingdom (PPI UK) in seeking the social welfare of Indonesian students in the UK. Social welfare problems that often occur by Indonesian students are psychological welfare and financial well-being. The method used in this study is in the form of descriptive quality. By going through several stages of data collection, namely interviews, observations, and documentation. The final results of this study show that PPI UK as a diaspora of Indonesian students sees student welfare problems as a focus that must be addressed specifically. This is evidenced by the statement on the AD / ART PPI UK Year 2021 Article 8 Point C and the establishment of a special division that handles student welfare issues, namely the Student Welfare Advocacy Department. Efforts made by PPI UK in empowering student welfare are by holding excellent ext which in which also collaborates with parties with the United Kingdom, the work program is the Indonesia Scholar International Convention (ISIC) and THINKLab Festival. The two cooperation programs collaborate with external parties such as representatives of the British Embassy, British Ambassador, British Council, various parties from universities in the UK to strive for the welfare of Indonesian students in the UK.
