| Summary: | Vo2max is the maximum amount of oxygen that can be used in one minute and is the rate of oxygen use at the peak of aerobic metabolism. Physical activity is movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Results: The vo2max level of public health study program students at FIKES UPNVJ Class of 2020 with an age range of 20-23 years, 13.3% male sex in the less category (38 ml/kg min), 8.3% male in the less category (39-43 ml/kg min), and 78.3% of women in the less category (29-34 ml/kg min). The highest level of physical activity in the heavy category (≥3000 MET) was 11.7% for men, 56.7% for women, the moderate category (≥600 - 3000 MET) with a percentage of 10% for men, 20% for women, and the mild category with a percentage of 1.7% in women. The author hopes that students can further increase vo2max by carrying out active physical activities outside the home such as exercising regularly, and reducing excessive physical activity at home so that other health complaints do not occur. |
