520 |a Unaccompanied Minor Asylum Seekers (UMAS) are a group of vulnerable refugees whose rights are not paid enough attention to in Indonesia. The existence of laws or equivalent regulations governing the obligation to fulfill the rights of UMAS is urgently needed in Indonesia. This study aims to see whether the regulations that already exist in Indonesia meet international legal standards and whether the rules regarding the fulfillment of UMAS rights used by the European Union can be implemented in Indonesia. The method used is normative-juridical with comparative studies. The results of this study indicate that the fulfillment of UMAS rights as a child in Indonesia is inadequate in the sense that there are still many regulations in Indonesia that are not in accordance with international standards regarding the rights that should be obtained by a child, especially the right to education, health rights, and family rights, based on the principle of the best interest of the child. To increase the fulfillment of UMAS rights, the implementation of regulatory norms that guide refugee regulations in the EU can be implemented in Indonesia, although not yet 100%. This is, of course, limited to the conventions that Indonesia has ratified.
