| Summary: | In legislative election contention, political strategies are used to achieve victory in elections. According to Peter Schroder, political strategies are strategies used by political actors to realize their political ideals. In the legislative election contest, both men and women have the same freedom to participate. When women's issues are raised to the political realm, especially in legislative institutions, there will be crucial problems until now, including the popularity of patriarchal culture. This study will examine the strategy used by Yeti Wulan from the legislative election contention because the author is interested in his success in holding the DPRD of Depok City for 3 periods and is the only woman in history to hold the position as Deputy Chairman of the DPRD of Depok City This study used a qualitative type of research with a descriptive approach. The theories used are political strategy theory, political marketing and social capital. The data obtained by the researcher comes from interview activities as primary sources and literature studies as secondary sources. Data analysis techniques performed by researchers include data collection, data reduction, and data presentation, and then end with a conclusion. Research results have shown that the success of a candidate is due to many aspects ranging from internal and external. Yeti Wulandari's victory in the Depok City legislative election was one of them set back by the Gerindra Party's influence. Yeti Wulandari was also able to win the Depok City legislative election and survive as an incumbent by implementing offensive strategies to expand voter base as well as defensive to maintain her voting base. |
