In the banking industry, both conventional and sharia, they face many challenges when using information technology, one of which is hacking of banking information systems by hackers. This study aims to examine the effect of the use of information technology, user competence, and internal control on the effectiveness of accounting informationsystems. The study population is the users of accounting information systems in banking in the DKI Jakarta area. This research uses techniques Snowball sampling and obtained as many as 80 accounting information system users as respondents. This type of research is quantitative research. The research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression methods using a significance level of 5% (0.05). The results of this study indicate that the use of accounting information technology and user competence have an influence on the effectiveness of accounting information systems while internalcontrol has no influence on the effectiveness of accounting information systems.
