Over 2 billion people face a water crisis daily, and projections towards 2050 estimate a shortage of clean water supply for one in four individuals. Indonesia, with a population of 230 million, also confronts a rising need for clean water. The performance of PERUMDAM, managing the water supply system through taps, has not met expectations, relying on collaboration with local governments. Financial constraints impede PERUMDAM due to insufficient income, resulting in difficulties meeting obligations. Out of 389 PERUMDAMs in Indonesia, only 60% operate effectively, with PERUMDAM TKR Kabupaten Tangerang as the research focus. As a Regional Public Enterprise, PERUMDAM TKR must ensure adequate water services and achieve maximum profits. Performance assessment of PERUMDAM TKR using the Balanced scorecard aims to identify weaknesses, provide performance evaluations, and recommend improvements in water services. Focused on financial, operational, and managerial aspects, the current performance evaluation is considered fragmented, necessitating an integrated approach like the Balanced scorecard. The ultimate goal is to ensure relevant and beneficial performance measurements in operational management, with a research series covering weakness identification, performance assessment, and improvement recommendations. | ||
