520 |a Coconut milk is a thick, white liquid made from grated coconut which is processed by pressing it and adding water. To obtain coconut milk, many households, restaurants and home industries still use the traditional method, namely squeezing by mixing grated coconut with water directly by hand. In its implementation, it is considered inefficient, this results in a waste of time, requires a lot of labor, and in terms of cleanliness does not meet health standards. To answer this problem, a cheaper coconut pressing machine is needed without reducing the effectiveness of the production produced so that it can make it easier for people to press coconuts into coconut milk. The research method starts from planning, creating design concepts, manufacturing processes, and testing tools. This machine is designed with dimensions of 550 x 362 x 1097 mm. The average capacity of thick coconut milk is 10.12 lt/hour and the average liquid coconut milk is 25.63 lt/hour and has an average yield of thick coconut milk reaching 63.3% and an average yield of liquid coconut milk of 70.3% .
