The research in this journal is normative research complete with interviews using primary data, secondary data, tertiary data and using a statutory approach, case approach and conceptual approach. The study findings in this research are (1) Chemical castration is important to provide a deterrent effect on recidivism of sexual violence in line with the significant increase in the number of cases of sexual violence against children; (2) Obstacles faced by law enforcers are the refusal of doctors to act as executors, chemical castration is considered to violate the right to torture, there are no regulations regarding technical instructions for implementing chemical castration, chemical castration is a new punishment in Indonesia, and the cost of chemical castration is not yet clear.
