The research seeks to analyze the practice of greenwashing with the existing legal framework in Indonesia, both in legal protection against greenwashing practices, as well as corporate responsibility in implementing greenwashing practices as a business actor. The writing method used is a normative legal method using a statutory approach and a comparative approach. The results of this study show that there are several regulations that can become a legal umbrella against the practice of greenwashing and can accommodate the interests of consumers and the environment. In addition, the author also finds that the principle of product liability is a responsibility that must be carried out by corporations when practicing greenwashing. The author also underlines that e-commerce can be one of the threats of greenwashing practices. Therefore, it is necessary for the government to play a role in updating regulations specifically on greenwashing practices, and consumer awareness in assessing and examining before buying products can be categorized as environmentally friendly products.
