| Summary: | This study is conducted to discuss, know, and analyze foreign ownership from a legal perspective in insurance companies in Indonesia. Following Government Regulation No. 14/2018, at the time of establishment of an insurance company, foreign direct participation is at most 80%. Shortly after that, the Government formalized PP No.3/2020 as a revision of PP No.14/2018. The urgency of the inauguration of PP No. 3/2020 is due to the need to develop the insurance industry's potential in Indonesia. The discussion starts from the foreign investment system in the insurance sector to the impact felt by insurance companies since the implementation of PP No.3/2020. The research method used is a descriptive normative research method. The data used is secondary data collected using library research techniques and descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study show that PP No.3/2020 has a good impact on insurance companies in Indonesia, advancing the country's economy, business opportunities, and investment. |
