| Summary: | Consumer protection is crucial in the transaction process between consumers and producers. In Indonesia, consumer protection is regulated by Law No. 8 of 1999 Concerning Consumer Protection, which includes guidelines for the presentation of product information that must be on every product packaging, including motorcycle tires.The implementation of product information on each product circulating in the market can minimize consumer disputes. One common issue is the vulnerability of consumers in the event of disputes, especially concerning the application of product information for motorcycle tire users, and the lack of consumer knowledge in filing complaints regarding violations of their rights in consumer dispute resolution based on Law No. 8 of 1999.In the writing of this scientific article, the research method used is normative legal research, where the legal basis is Law No. 8 of 1999 Concerning Consumer Protection. The research analysis indicates that there is still insufficient protection for consumers using motorcycle tires regarding the certainty of product information and the procedures for resolving consumer disputes.From this research, the author emphasizes the importance of socialization to provide information on the application of product information and the procedures for resolving consumer disputes based on Law No. 8 of 1999. |
